So we have got some huge news today for the Black Clover fans. It’s been now more than one and half a years since the anime ended. The last episode of the anime, episode 170 was released in March of 2021 and since then fans have been waiting for the return of the series. Even though it is still unknown if the TV anime will ever return or not. We do have some good news for the fans who have been desperately waiting for the upcoming movie of Black Clover.
It was announced earlier that the Black Clover movie will be released in 2023 but we didn’t have any exact release date for it.

But today, we got some new info where it has been confirmed that the upcoming Black Clover movie is titled Black Clover – Sword of the Wizard King and it will be released on the 31st of March of 2023. Anyway, the picture that you can see on the right side is apparently a teaser visual which will most likely get an official reveal very soon. They have decided to release the movie not only in Japanese movie theaters but also on Netflix. The movie will be broadcast on Netflix on the same day as the Japanese theaters.

According to a source, the movie will be distributed worldwide on Netflix. So fans like us, who don’t live in Japan will not have to wait extra months to see it in good quality. But I wish, I could watch the movie in the theaters on the same day. But at the same time, I am super glad that Netflix has decided to release it on their platform on the same day as Japan.

Also, we have got a movie character designed for a previous Wizard King named ‘Corned’, it was designed by Tabata Sensei himself. For now, we don’t really know anything about the plot of the movie. But when the movie was announced first, many fans thought that it would probably be a sequel to the TV anime. But later when they revealed the trailers, it felt like the movie is most likely going to be about the Training Arc in between.
But after seeing this character design of the previous Wizard King, it seems like the movie is probably going to be anime Canon.

Anyway I have checked their official website and they haven’t made an official announcement yet but we should be getting an official announcement soon. I do hope that they reveal a proper trailer for the movie very soon so that we can get an idea of what kind of plot the movie is going to have, what story will it adopt Etc.
