Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai is one of those anime that began a worldwide anime Sensation. That marked itself on top of the trending list when aired in 2018, following the hearth-robbing sequel film Rascal Does Not Dream of Dreaming Girl in 2019. The popularity of the Bunny Girl Senpai series grew even further. Finally, on September 2022, the series officially announced a new sequel.

The anime Rascal does not dream of bunny girl Senpai is adapted from the light novel series written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Mizoguchi Keiji. A manga adaptation illustrated by Tsugumi Nanamiya has also been serialized Since December 2015. The story revolves around Sakuta Azusagawa and Mai Sakurajima who decides to solve a mystery known as an adolescent syndrome. The first season aired in 2018 and upon release, it was trending on popularity polls and search lists. Not to mention anime fans were blessed by their new crush Mai Sakurajima.
About Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl Movie
A film named Rascal does not dream of a dreaming girl was released in 2019 which adapted the sixth and seventh volumes of the light novel series serving as a sequel to the first season.
In 2022 Anaplex held an online event that hosted new anime news and announcements ever since 2020. In there it was announced that the Rascal does not dream of series will have its third sequel which can be the chronological second season of the anime.

Finally, on 24 September 2022, the official Twitter account of the series directly announced it and a new promotional video was also released to contribute to the announcement. It not only confirmed the return of previous cast members but also that Cloverworks will animate the second season with Sochi masui as the Director. Although it is not sure whether the sequel will be known as simply season 2 or rather in addition to the Rascal doesn’t dream series. Because the series will be the adaptation of the 8th and 9th light novels which are named Rascal does not dream of a sister venturing out and Rascal does not dream of a knapsack kid respectively.
So the anime Bunny Girl Senpai may follow the titles of Light Novels as they did in the movie. Now no exact release date has been announced yet but we are assuming that it will probably air in late 2023 or early 2024. The next sequel will revolve around Kaede Azusagawa for the eighth light novel and Mai Sakurajima for the ninth light novel which will have a depressing tone.
