So it’s been almost five years since we got the first season of the anime, In Another World With My Smartphone. Season one of this anime was released in the summer of 2017 and it had only 12 episodes which covered the first five volumes of the Light novel.
The light novel of this series is still ongoing and has currently got 26 volumes. There is also a manga for it which is also ongoing and it has currently got 11 volumes. So there is plenty of source material available for a new season of the anime and the good news is the second season of this anime has already been officially announced. The announcement was made back in April of this year but during the announcement we did not get any trailer or any key visual for In Another World With My Smartphone season two.
The only thing we got during the announcement was a congratulatory illustration from the character draft Igusuka. We also got some messages from the cast and the staff but other than that we got nothing else. No release date was announced during the announcement.
Recently I have noticed that when you search on google about the release date. It tells you that the In Another World With My Smartphone anime season 2 is expected to release on the 21st of october of this year. When you click on the article you will see it says ” The official website for Patora Fuyuhara is In Another World with my Smartphone revealed on Friday that the anime will be renewed for a second season. To mark the anniversary light novel illustrator, Eiji Usatsuka published an illustration while announcing the release date. In Another World With My Smartphone anime season 2 is expected as released on 21 October 2022 “. I don’t know where did they get this release date from but I can tell you for sure that this is not the real release date.
I have checked all the official websites of the companies that are related to the production of this anime but I couldn’t find any info on the release schedule even the release year has not been confirmed yet. If you ask me when do I think the second season will release I am gonna say that don’t expect it to release anytime soon at least not this year. Since they have announced a second season in April of 2022. My guess is that we will probably have to wait till mid or late 2023 but again no release date has been officially announced yet. As soon as we get any new updates on the release date, we will let you know immediately.
