So the final episode of Lycoris Recoil has been aired and the first season is now over. While most of the Anime from the Summer 2022 slate did not live up to the mark. Lycoris Recoil is one of the few anime which has been exceptional being an original anime. It gained High popularity among anime enthusiasts and it is no surprise that fans are already demanding a second season. Lycoris Recoil Storyline
Lycoris Recoil follows the story of Taking Inoue, a girl with guns. She is a member of Elite Spy Plus Assassin, who eliminates criminals to maintain peace. During an operation, she jeopardized the mission due to firing indiscriminately. As a result, the agency dismiss her and transferred her to work in an undercover Cafe. The anime Got High Praise for its representation of stunning gun mechanisms and action sequences with solid story and characters. The series made an impressive score on different sites making it the third-highest traded anime of Summer 2022.
Only behind Made in Abyss season 2 and Overlord season 4. So as the first season is over, fans of Lycoris Recoil are expecting to get an announcement of the second season soon due to high ratings and it will be no surprise if A1 pictures, the studio behind the anime will be interested in the renewal of the second season.
Lycoris Recoil Season 2 Not Announcement Yet
Now there is no official statement yet, and no trailers or key visuals have been revealed either. However, there remains one major issue as it is an original anime which means it was not adapted from any Manga or Light Novel.
In fact a manga series and a Light Novel series had been started to serialize on September 5th and September 9, 2022, respectively to adapt the story of anime. So it will take a while to get enough Source material to adapt to a new season. Hopefully, the author of Light Novel Asaura, who wrote the plot of anime before writing the Light Novel can write the plot of the next season ahead of the manga and light novel. Also given the chance that A1 pictures will be in charge of production. It will take a while as the studio has an extremely busy schedule ahead with projects like NIER Automata version 1.1, a Solo Leveling, and Kagaya Sama Love is War: The first kiss never ends on the way. So it will be pretty much assumable that the priority of season 2 of Lycoris Recoil will be on the bottom.
One good news is that the author of the anime Asaura recently posted on social media thanking the viewers for watching Lycoris Recoil and asking them to join them till the end.
