So it’s been almost five years since we got the first season of Masamune-kun no Revenge. Masamune-kun no Revenge anime was adapted from a manga written by Hizuki takoka. We only got 12 episodes in the first season of the anime which was produced by studio Silver link.
Season one of the Masamune-kun no Revenge anime didn’t adapt all the source material because while season one was airing the manga was still ongoing but the manga ended not too long after season one was released the manga of Masamune-kun no Revenge has got 11 volumes in total but the anime has only covered the first six volumes. So there was always enough source material for season two but sadly for some reason they never decided to produce the second season. But now finally after five years we have got some good news today about the return of the anime.
It has been officially confirmed that Masamune-kun no Revenge will be getting a second season. It was announced on their official website and official twitter account on the first of April, they made an April fool’s day joke which was about the production decision for season three. Obviously they can’t make a third season without doing the second season first so it was more like a hint that they would be announcing the production decision for season two soon and that’s exactly what happened. Not only did they announce the second season today but they also revealed a new announcement trailer if you want to watch the official trailer it should be available on our discord server so make sure to join our discord to watch all the official teaser trailers as soon as. They are revealed. Now talking about the release date, they have not confirmed the release date for season two yet. During the announcement they did not mention anything about the release schedule. But I am hoping that we will be getting more information on season 2 very soon. About episode count it’s probably going to be a single core season so maybe 10 to 12 episodes that will cover the rest of the manga. So most likely it’s going to be the last and final season of the anime but we could also be getting some ova after season two because there should be some source material available from the spin-off manga anyway that’s all the information we have got today.
