So before we talk about the second season I just want to clarify something, has the second season of My Dress-up Darling already been announced?
We did get an announcement during a special event in September. Where they told the fans that a sequel to the TV anime series My Dress-Up Darling is already in production but the thing is we don’t really know the format of the sequel. You may have seen many websites saying that the second season has already been announced.

If you look at the official announcement you will see that they didn’t specify the format here. Even though the format is not officially confirmed yet. I personally think it is most likely going to be season two. Anyway for now all we know is that we are getting a sequel.

About the Release date of season 2
About the release date, it is still not confirmed when we will get the sequel. During the announcement, they didn’t mention anything about the release schedule. So the question is now, when can we expect to get some new information on season 2 or the sequel or whatever it is that was announced? Is there any upcoming event where they might give us some new updates on it? Yes, we do have an event that is taking place next year in March.
Anime Exhibition of My Dress-Up Darling
An anime exhibition of my dress-up darling will take place on March 16 in 2023. And there is a possibility that this is where we could be getting some new information on the release date. About the source material, the first season of the anime has only covered the first 39 chapters of the manga or you can say the first five volumes. They were adapting something like three or four chapters on each episode. The good news is the manga is still ongoing and has currently got 10 volumes. There are now 83 plus chapters. So we already have 40-plus chapters worth of source material available which is enough for season two. So yeah that’s all for today, let’s wait for the upcoming event. Hopefully there they will confirm the format of the sequel and will give us more information about it. As soon as we get any new updates on season 2, we will let you know now.
