A lot of people have been asking if will we get the third season of One Punch Man in 2022 or not. It has already been more than two years since we got the second season of One Punch Man but so far we have not received any official updates from them about the next season of One Punch Man Anime.
Everyone is now worried about if the third season will even happen or not. Even though we did not get any official announcement for season 3 at the end of season 2, they did tell us that they will do their best to deliver the anime again in the future. So hopefully we will get the third season at one point but when that is gonna happen, we still don’t know. There is a lot of rumors going around all over the internet since the end of season 2 where it is being said that one punch man season 3 will probably be released in the summer of 2022. Some of the web articles are even saying on their titles that the season 3 release date has been confirmed for 2022, but when you read the whole article you will find out that it’s just their prediction, not an official release date.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation for the release date of One Punch Man Season 3. It has not been even officially announced yet and that’s why there is no release date for it. I checked their official websites and Twitter accounts but could not find any information on season 3. The manga of One Punch Man has currently got more than 150 chapters, the first 2 seasons of the anime adapted the first 84 chapters from the manga. So by now, there should be enough source material available for season 3 but it seems like the ongoing arc in the manga has not been completed yet, if they decide to use the already available source material to produce season 3 which will have 12 episodes then the earliest. We can expect One Punch Man season 3 to come out in either late 2022 or early 2023. But if they decide to cover the whole monster association arc in season 3 with 24 episodes then we will probably have to wait way longer than that. We will have to wait for the Monster Association Arc to end first in the manga then we will have to wait for the physical volume to get released and then finally the production for season 3 will start which will take 9 to 12 months to complete. So basically if they decide to cover the whole Monster Association Arc in the next season then we might have to wait till 2024 or 2025. But there’s nothing we can really do about it they already made us wait four years for the second season. So it’s nothing new anyway let’s just wait for an official update. I think the chances for season 3 released in late 2022 are very low but not totally impossible. If we are talking about the full adaptation of the Monster Association Arc here then it’s probably not coming out anytime soon.
