As you’re all aware the Rising Of The Shield Hero season 2 has now officially concluded, while season 2 didn’t live up to the hype. Fans are still hopeful for what might come next. The Rising Of The Shield Hero season 3 Anime tv series was already confirmed to be in production during a special stage panel at Crunchyroll Expo 2019. The Katakawa producer had also confirmed at virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2020 that the wait for the third season won’t be too long. But unfortunately as the release date of the second season was delayed from fall 2021 to Spring 2022. It is likely to be assumed that the third season’s release date will be pushed back as well. As of the last update Katakawa, Crunchyroll, Kinema, Citrus or any company related to the production of the anime has not officially confirmed the Rising Of The Shield Hero season 3 release date. Not to mention that the Rising Of The Shield Hero season 3’s opening and ending theme songs have not yet been announced. But with the end of the second season we can hope to get the latest news about the upcoming season anytime soon.
It’s possible that news about shield hero season 3 is being reserved for Crunchyroll Expo 2022. Crunchyroll Expo 2022 is scheduled to take place in person in California from August 5 to August 7. Rising Of The Shield Hero Music artists – Mattgatt, Composer – Kevin Penkin and Music director – Hiramitsu Ajima are already confirmed to be attending the event. In the best case scenario that could have meant that the shield hero season 3 release date would be scheduled for fall 2022. In effect the third season would have been similar to a split core anime season. Despite being numbered separately but the lack of any update by June 2022 through that prediction into doubt. Typically the time frame for an anime premiere is announced within three to six months in advance. Therefore it seems more likely that the Rising Of The Shield Hero season 3 release date will be in 2023. Till now very little has been confirmed regarding the third season. Season 2 was criticized because it was speed running the source material. The first six episodes of the second season quickly skimmed through the Spirit Tortoise Arc in a rush to reach the big confrontation with Kyo. It also skipped scenes that took place before the Spirit Tortoise Arc in the novels. So it remains to be seen how much of this will be animated. This is followed by the Fallen Heroes Arc which is likely to be the centerpiece of season three. Here attention in the aftermath of the Spirit Tortoise Arc turns to the other heroes who were left devastated by events of second season. For fans who loved the psychological side of shield heroes early episodes and its team of redemption, the third season holds plenty of promise so that’s gonna be all for today.
