Hey what’s up everyone, today we’re going to be talking about the highly anticipated second season of the anime series Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles. It’s been one and a half years since we first got to experience the world of Rio and Miharu in the first season of the anime. For those who may not be familiar, Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is based on a Light Novel series written by Yuri Kitayama, the light novel is still ongoing with 22 volumes and there’s also an ongoing manga series with eight volumes. The anime adaptation so far has only covered the first five volumes of the light novel, so there’s plenty of source material available for a second season.
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 1 Storyline…
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles follows the story of Ryouma Mizuchi, a high school student who is transported to a parallel world filled with magic and spirits. In this world, Ryouma discovers that he has the ability to tame spirits, which he uses to form powerful bonds with these beings and become a powerful warrior. Alongside his friends, Ryouma sets out on a journey to discover the truth behind his powers and the mysterious history of the parallel world.
As they journey through the different regions of this world, Ryouma and his friends encounter a wide range of enemies, including powerful spirit users, corrupt rulers, and dangerous beasts. Along the way, they learn more about the world’s history and the role that spirits and spirit users play in it. They also discover that there is a sinister force at work behind the scenes, manipulating events and trying to control the spirits. As Ryouma and his friends become embroiled in this conflict, they must use all of their skills and powers to overcome the various obstacles in their path. Along the way, Ryouma learns more about his own abilities and the true nature of his powers. Ultimately, the group must fight against the forces of darkness in an epic battle to save the parallel world and protect the spirits.

Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 Conformation
We are thrilled to announce that, it has already been officially confirmed. The production decision for the second season was announced in November 2021 and the official website for the Seirei Gensouki anime shared a special video looking back on Rio’s Adventures so far. With some of the most iconic scenes from the first season and ended with the final episode of season one.

Seirei Gensouki Season 2 Release Date
While the official release date for Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 has not been confirmed yet. We anticipate that the second season of Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles will most likely be released sometime in 2023. The studio was responsible for the production of the first season.
TMS Entertainment has previously worked on successful anime such as Fruits Basket and Rent a Girlfriend, their upcoming project is Dr. Stone season 3 which is releasing in April 2023. So we are guessing that the second season of Seirei Gensouki will probably be released either mid-2023 or late 2023, but let’s hope they won’t make us wait until 2024.
