So the first season of Spy x Family is almost over. Just yesterday we got episode 12 of the second core, which is the second last episode of season one. There’s now only one episode left before the first season of the anime comes to an end. Episode 13 is releasing next week on the 24th of December. Many of you are probably wondering if there will be a second season for this anime or not.
Spy x Family Season 2 is Confirmed
The good news is that the second season of Spy x Family has already been officially confirmed. The announcement was made just today at Jump Festa 2023 event.

On their official website, they have said that ” TV anime season 2 broadcast and movie version production decision in 2023! TV anime season 2 will be broadcast in 2023. In the same year, a theatrical version was also been decided to be produced. The movie version is supervised by the original author: Tatsuya Endo who is in charge of the original character design. Please look forward to the follow-up report on both the TV anime season 2 and the movie version”. So we are not only getting a new season but also a new movie and both of them will be released in 2023.

We don’t have the exact release date but it is crazy how they are planning on releasing both of them in the same year. But at the end of the day, I am sure fans are happy to see their beloved anime continuing with a new season. Season 2 will continue adapting the manga but it seems like the movie is probably going to be an original story. So it will not be adapted from the manga and it’s not going to be a Canon. So yeah, that’s all the information we got from jump Festa 2023. We do not have any teaser or trailer for season 2 yet but hopefully, we will get more information on season 2 and the upcoming movie next week after the premiere of the final episode of season one. As soon as we get any new updates on it we will let you know.
